Jens is an active square dancer since 1971. Starting with the Cloverleaves in Hannover,
his square-dance-carreer leads him through different stations in the USA, Bremerhaven
and Kiel to Wilhelmshaven, where in 1984 he became one of the club-founders of the
Ocean Wave Square Dancers e.V.
He also started calling in 1985. He first called occasionally, since 1988
on a regularly base as a clubcaller for the Ocean Wave SDC the level Basic, Mainstream and Plus.
Jens is an active member in ECTA (European Callers and Teachers Association) and as a
Callerlab Accredited Square Dance Caller also an active member in Callerlab. He is calling
Special Dances and Jamborees.
Jens is also active in caller education. Together with Jürgen B. Hartig (Hannover) he is in charge
of caller education within the "Sportjugend Niedersachsen" since 1997. In a team with
Edeltraud Haas
he offers caller seminars in Schleswig-Holstein since 2001.
